Description: Antica & Antinori 3L Cabernet Sauvignon Trio. 92 points by Wine Advocate was the consensus for the Antinori 2005 Guado Al Tasso Cabernet and the Antinori 2005 Tignanello Cabernet. The Guado Al Tasso has an intense ruby red color, very subtle and fragrant aromas with light hints of red berries and notes of chocolate and licorice. Close-knit, velvety tannins on the palate with chocolate, blueberries and a hint of vanilla on the finish. A tangy and lingering wine, complex and stylish. The Tignanello is ruby red in color, nicely expressed varietal aromas with hints of blackberry fruit. The palate is weighty, dense and vibrant with complex structure supported by good acidity. Long and lingering with hints of chocolate, coffee and marmalade in the after taste. This is a very complex, stylish and sophisticated wine. Last but not least, the Antica 2005 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon shows great structure with a concentrated mix of ripe plum, blackberry and wild berry flavors that are focused and persistent. The tannins are ripe, balanced and integrated with a long, intense after taste that keeps the emphasis on the fruit.

Description: This wonderful lot includes a 3L, a 1.5L and a 750ml bottle. The 2008 Herb Lamb Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is a very forward wine, rich and full-bodied with lots of concentration. Aromatically, this vintage shows a fair amount of oak paired with dry Baker’s chocolate and dried cherry. The plush sweetness from the new French oak barrels accentuates the red and black fruit in the glass. In the mouth, there are flavors of smoky tobacco and currant, with dark cherries, cassis, espresso, and sweet licorice. Heidi Barret of Screaming Eagle is the winemaker for this exclusive Lamborn Family Vineyards Zinfandel. Deep black raspberry in color with wide open aromas of ripe and powerful Howell Mountain fruit. The nose is loaded with jammy raspberry, spice, black pepper, currants, with hints of toast & vanilla. The flavors are very consistent with the aromas. The impression on the palate is one of richness, ripe fruit and an overall silky mouth feel. The structure is big, but not tannic or aggressive, and the finish has a bit of warmth and good length. It is made from their 4 acre vineyard on Howell Mountain in the Napa Valley and only one of six bottles produced. Winemaker Anthony Biagi notes the 2008 vintage shares the opulent flavor profiles of the 2007 and the mouth-coating tannins of the 2002. He describes this wine as possessing pungent aromas of blackberry, plums, black cherry and minerals. They are followed on the palate with flavors of blackberry pie, hoisin, black olive, and black cherry. The refined tannins make this wine approachable now, but with some patience, the wine will be at its best 5-7 years and will age up to 15 years. Description: 2002 Oakville Ranch Etched 6L of Cabernet Sauvignon. Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon is dark ruby red in color with a gorgeous nose of blackberry, cassis, dried herbs, vanilla, and exotic spices. This big single-vineyard red is full-bodied, soft and mellow, with velvety tannins and rich flavors of blackberry, black currant, vanilla and spice. It was aged for 19 months in French oak barrels for added complexity. Beautifully balanced to enjoy now, it will gain with cellaring over the next decade.
