Grants funded by the Wine Celebration
All proceeds from The V Foundation Wine Celebration are distributed in the form of grants to promising cancer research and cancer awareness programs in California and throughout the nation. The V Foundation Wine Celebration is committed to ensuring that a significant portion of the funds raised benefit cancer research and awareness in the Bay Area and the Napa Valley. Grants from past V Foundation Wine Celebrations have benefited research at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, St. Helena Hospital, UCSF, UCSD and Stanford Medical Center.
The V Scholar Program The recipients of these two-year, $100,000 grants are designated V Scholars. These Grants provide essential funds directly to the scientist, not the facility, allowing the V Scholar to determine how best to use these funds in his or her research project.
The V Foundation-AACR grants in Translational Clinical Research This program is intended to foster collaboration between basic and clinical usefulness. The Translational Research program is specifically intended for the support of work that has clinical applications as a near-term goal. Each facility agrees to contribute an amount equal to The V Foundation’s grant
The Designated Grant Program The purpose of this program is to fund projects in communities or regions local to the fundraising area. Fundraisers and donors work with The V Foundation to identify a specific research project, research facility or awareness program for review and selection by the Scientific Advisory Board
