Throughout a dynamic life that has spanned the Great Depression, the Second World War, the rise

of Silicon Valley, and the dawn of the twenty-first century, Lowell Herrero has turned his passion

for living into art. From his home in California, he has traveled to Tuscany, Provence, and Spain,

absorbing the lessons of their sensuous landscapes. The colors of horizons and rich earth, the

sensations of sunlight, and the fragrance of flower-covered hillsides mingle in his

imagination and flow through his paintbrush onto his canvases.

Also featuring selected works from Linearis Institute’s collection of art

on paper spanning 500 years of history, there will be a special focused exhibit entitled;

Picasso, His life & work: Selected works throughout his career

Exclusively exhibited at the 13^th Annual “V” Foundation Wine Celebration

This one day exiting exhibit will include major works from his graphic career featuring etchings,

lithography and linoleum cutouts throughout his life’s work. The exhibit takes a behind the scenes look

into the life of this modern master to uncover what may have inspired his vast creative output.

A variety of his most celebrated themes, subject matter and motifs will entice audiences

to learn more about the legendary figure, Picasso.

This contemporaneous exhibition is in honor of the de Young Museum’s

Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris

coming to San Francisco June 11, 2011 to October 9, 2011.
