Dedicated to giving back to the generous Napa Valley and surrounding communities that have so enthusiastically embraced it, the V Wine Celebration has funded over 45 promising research programs at medical and research facilities including the Martin O’Neil Cancer Center at St. Helena Hospital, Napa’s Queen of the Valley Wellness Center, Stanford Medical Center, and UC San Francisco Medical Center. Founded by Julie Allegro in 1999, the V Wine Celebration has grown from its humble beginnings to one of the top-rated charity wine auction events in the country. Guided by a dedicated volunteer board, and committed staff, the three-day signature fundraiser has raised over $58 million since that first event in 1999.
Beginning on Thursday with intimate private winery dinners hosted by the vintners at their breathtaking wine estates, the weekend continues on Friday with luxurious adventures in food and wine during the day, followed by the “Let’s Get it Started” Party, featuring our All-Stars of Cancer Research that evening. Guest will enjoy the perfect epicurean evening featuring renowned restaurateurs, chefs, and preeminent vintners at party and end the evening with dancing the night away to a high-energy show band. Saturday offers a Cancer Research Symposium comprised of the nation’s leading physicians and research scientists from prominent universities and cancer centers. The gala auction dinner takes place Saturday evening, where guests enjoy a multi-course gourmet meal and wine pairings, live auction, and a private performance by an award-winning artist. The weekend celebration concludes with a lively “After Hours” party.
Join us and be a part of this magical weekend as we raise critical funding for the fight against cancer. The 17th Anniversary V Foundation Wine Celebration takes place in the beautiful Napa Valley, August 6-9, 2015. For more information, send an e-mail to email@example.com, or call 707.963.0611.

“Don’t Give Up… Don’t Ever Give Up!”
Although Jim Valvano lost his battle with cancer on April 28, 1993, he had already set his dream of finding a cure for cancer into motion. Today, with the help of a nationwide network of volunteers, event planners, individual donors, and corporate sponsors, The V Foundation is active in all aspects of fundraising. National and local events, annual and major gift solicitations, planned giving and cause-related marketing efforts all contribute to our cause of funding cancer research. Since 1993, The V Foundation has awarded more than $115 million in cancer research grants in 38 states and the District of Columbia. Researchers have developed their laboratories and taken their science from the labs to the clinics with the help of funds raised by The V Foundation.
The V Foundation also takes great pride in its fiscal responsibility and is proud to announce that it awards 100 percent of direct cash donations to cancer research and related programs. Recognized for its prudent fiscal management, The V Foundation has earned another four-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest charity evaluator, placing us in the top 10% of charities nationwide.
Members of The V Foundation’s all-volunteer Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board also generously donate time, talent, resources, and energy in support of our mission. These committed individuals from the world of business, medicine, sports, and entertainment share one common goal: to defeat cancer.
Jim Valvano knew that The V Foundation could not save his life, but he hoped that “it could save my children’s lives, or someone that you love.” His dream of a cure is one shared by millions.
